Inserting Marketing Compliance feedback into a PowerPoint document

Modified on Wed, 8 Oct at 5:47 PM

The Marketing Compliance PowerPoint Add-in allows you to insert feedback directly into your presentation as text boxes. This feature makes it easier to share compliance feedback with colleagues and maintain a record of identified risks within the presentation itself.

Adding Individual Text Box Comments

Follow these steps to insert a specific risk as a text box in your presentation:

  1. Review your presentation using the Marketing Compliance Add-in
  2. When risks are displayed in the review pane, click on any risk item to expand it
  3. Click the Insert Comment icon (text box symbol) at the bottom left corner of the expanded risk
  4. The feedback will be added to the PowerPoint slide as a text box in the top right corner of the relevant slide

Adding All Comments at Once

To insert all identified risks as text boxes in a single operation:

  1. Click the menu icon (⋮) in the top right corner of the Add-in
  2. Select Insert All Comments from the dropdown menu
  3. All risks will be automatically added as text boxes to their respective slides

Working with Inserted Text Boxes

After inserting feedback as text boxes:

  • The text boxes become part of the PowerPoint document and are no longer tied to the Marketing Compliance Add-in
  • You can interact with these text boxes just like any standard PowerPoint text box:
    • Edit the text
    • Resize or reposition the text box
    • Change formatting or colors
    • Delete the text box if no longer needed
  • Text boxes will remain in the presentation if you:
    • Close the Marketing Compliance Add-in
    • Save the presentation
    • Share the presentation with colleagues who don't have the Add-in

Tips for Using Text Box Comments Effectively

  • Text Box Persistence: Once inserted, text boxes remain in your presentation even if you re-review the content. This provides a record of identified issues.
  • Avoiding Duplicates: If you've already inserted individual text boxes and then use "Insert All Comments," you'll create duplicate comments. Be cautious when using the bulk insert option.
  • Sharing with Colleagues: Inserted text boxes make it easy to share compliance feedback with team members who may not have access to the Marketing Compliance Add-in.
  • Collaborative Review: Text boxes facilitate discussion about compliance issues during team reviews of presentations.
  • Formatting for Visibility: You can customize the text boxes (change colors, size, or position) to make them more noticeable or to categorize different types of issues.
