How to Use the Content Risk Reviews Add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint

This guide explains how to use the Content Risk Reviews Add-in to check your presentations and upload them to IntelligenceBank.

Quick Start

  1. Click the Risk Review icon in your ribbon
  2. Sign in with your IntelligenceBank URL and credentials
  3. Select your database and filters
  4. Click Review to check your presentation
  5. Fix identified risks across slides
  6. Choose Done (local review) or Send to IntelligenceBank (full review)

Signing In

First-Time

  1. Click the Risk Review icon in the PowerPoint ribbon
  2. The add-in panel opens on the right
  3. Enter your IntelligenceBank URL
  4. Click Sign In
  5. A browser window opens for authentication
  6. Enter your IntelligenceBank credentials
  7. Once authenticated, close the browser and return to PowerPoint

Note: Your session lasts only while PowerPoint is open. You'll need to sign in again after closing PowerPoint.

Choose Your Review Type

Local Review (Without Upload)

Perfect for checking draft presentations:

  1. Select your database from the dropdown
  2. Choose filter values (Product, Market, Document Type, etc.)
  3. Click Review
  4. Review and fix identified risks across slides
  5. Click Done when finished

Full Review (With Upload to IntelligenceBank)

For final presentations ready for submission:

  1. Select your database and filters
  2. Click Review
  3. Fix identified risks
  4. Click Send to IntelligenceBank
  5. Presentation uploads with complete review history

Working with Databases

Using the Default Database (Create New Record)

When the default database is selected:

  1. Database: Shows pre-selected default database
  2. Filters: Empty dropdowns - you must select values
  3. Action: Creates a NEW record in IntelligenceBank

Filter selection example:

  • Product Category → "Investment Products"
  • Market → "North America"
  • Document Type → "Sales Presentation"

Using Other Databases (Update Existing Record)

When you select a different database:

  1. Database: Choose from dropdown
  2. Record Selection: New dropdown appears - search and select existing record
  3. Filters: Automatically populated from selected record (read-only)
  4. Action: Updates the EXISTING record

The Review Process for Presentations

Starting a Review

  1. Ensure all required filters are selected
  2. Click Review button
  3. Progress indicator shows while analyzing all slides
  4. Risks appear organized by slide number

Navigating Risks Across Slides

  1. Click any risk to jump to that slide
  2. The specific text or element highlights

Best Practices for Presentations

  1. Review early in the design process
  2. Check master slides first to fix widespread issues
  3. Review speaker notes separately from slide content
  4. Test animations and transitions don't hide text
  5. Verify chart data sources and claims
  6. Address high-risk items before formatting
  7. Save your presentation before reviewing

Presentation Size Considerations

  • Maximum file size: 25MB
  • For larger presentations:
    • Compress images
    • Remove unused master slides
    • Delete hidden slides
    • Optimize media files
