Learn how to effectively manage, resolve, and track risks identified across your PowerPoint presentations.

Understanding Risk Types in Presentations

Risk Categories

  • Compliance Risks: Regulatory violations, required disclaimers on slides
  • Legal Risks: Claims in charts, guarantees in pitch decks
  • Brand Risks: Off-brand slide designs, incorrect logo usage
  • Grammar/Spelling: Language issues in titles, body text, and notes

Specific Risk Actions

Viewing Risk Details by Slide

  1. Risks grouped by slide number for easy navigation
  2. Click any risk to jump directly to that slide
  3. Element type shown (title, body, notes, chart)
  4. View context within the slide layout

Dismissing Risks in Presentations

When dismissing risks across multiple slides:

  1. Click the X (dismiss) icon on the risk
  2. Risk moves to History tab
  3. Dismissal saved per slide
  4. Similar risks on other slides remain visible
  5. Can bulk dismiss same risk across slides

When to dismiss presentation risks:

  • Template-required elements
  • Approved presentation formats
  • Client-specific requirements
  • Previously approved content

Adding Risks as Comments

PowerPoint comment insertion:

  1. Expand the risk by clicking on it
  2. Click Insert Comment icon
  3. Comment adds to the specific slide
  4. Includes slide number and element location
  5. Visible in PowerPoint's Comments pane

Bulk Comment Insertion for Presentations

To add all risks as comments:

  1. Click Insert all comments at top of panel
  2. Comments distributed across relevant slides
  3. Each slide gets its specific risks as comments
  4. Useful for presentation reviews with team

Note: PowerPoint comments appear in the Comments pane and on slides.

Using Suggest AI for Presentations

For presentation-specific suggestions:

  1. Expand the risk
  2. Click Suggest AI button
  3. AI considers:
    • Slide context and purpose
    • Brevity for slide text
    • Speaker notes alternatives
  4. Apply suggestions directly to slide elements
