Inserting Feedback as Comments in the Content Risk Reviews Add-in for Microsoft Word

Modified on Wed, 8 Oct at 5:47 PM

When using the IntelligenceBank Content Risk Reviews Add-in for Microsoft Word, you can insert feedback directly as Word comments. This feature makes it easy to share feedback with colleagues and maintain a record of compliance issues within the document itself.

Adding Individual Comments

Follow these steps to insert a specific risk as a comment:

  1. Review your document using the IntelligenceBank Content Risk Reviews Add-in
  2. When risks are displayed in the review pane, click on any risk item to expand it
  3. Click the Insert Comment icon at the bottom of the expanded risk
  4. The feedback will be added to the Word document as a standard comment, attached to the relevant text

Adding All Comments at Once

To insert all identified risks as comments:

  1. Select Insert All Comments from the top of the right panel
  2. All risks will be automatically added as comments throughout your document

Working with Inserted Comments

After inserting feedback as comments:

  • The comments become part of the Word document and are no longer tied to the Marketing Compliance Add-in
  • You can interact with these comments just like any standard Word comment:
    • Edit the comment text
    • Reply to comments
    • Resolve or delete comments
  • Comments will remain in the document if you:
    • Close the Marketing Compliance Add-in
    • Save the document
    • Share the document with colleagues

Tips for Using Comments Effectively

  • If you have already inserted individual comments, using "Insert All Comments" will create duplicates
  • Even if you re-review the document with the Add-in, previously inserted comments will remain in place
  • Inserted comments make it easy to share feedback with colleagues who may not have access to the IntelligenceBank Content Risk Reviews Add-in
  • Comments provide a clear record of identified issues and can help document compliance review processes
