The Markup Comments allows users to add informal feedback on a Resource or file involved in a Resource Feedback or Publish Approval request. Here are some tips to make the most of your Markup Comments:

  • Write a clear and concise comment for your annotation
    • This ensures the feedback about your Markup can be understood and followed by all.
  • Use the Documentation Markups
    • Highlight Text, Underline Text, and Strikethrough Text to your heart’s content - none of these will be visible on the published document and are only visible on the Markup page of the request.
  • @ mention specific users
    • Get the attention of the right person(s) quickly.
    • Notifications not coming through as quickly as you’d like? Ask your platform’s admins about your platform’s notification settings for @ mentions.
  • Use the Resolve/Unresolve feature on comments
    • This will help your team keep track of what changes have been made or addressed. Email notifications can be configured to notify participants of the request when comments are updated to resolved/unresolved.
  • Search through comments
    • Sometimes comment threads get long and you need to find a specific comment or comment thread.
    • Click the Search icon located at the top right of the Comments Panel. Enter your search term and the results will automatically filter beneath. If the result Matches a Reply, then the Parent comment will also appear, allowing you to fully understand the context of the comment.
  • Sort and Filter your comments
    • Filter your comments based on the Status, ie Resolved/Unresolved, the Annotation Type or the Author
