Databases is the latest module with a new design, updated user experience and a drastic improvement in search and speed. It also marks the release of our upgraded Database Calendar functionality.
The upgrades mentioned below will be released in March. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact your Customer Success Manager.
Database List Page
Viewing all of your Databases will be quicker and easier, with the upgrade enabling a Database search at the top of the side panel, along with a choice of views (List or Cards).

Additionally, there are a number of other new features:
- Counts on each Database to indicate how many Records exist
- Single/Staged Database indicators
- Related Link
- Auto-Folder created link to that folder in Resources
- Sort Databases on the fly using the sorting options dropdown on top right
Record Displays
The views you currently use will all be available in the upgraded version, with each containing a number of enhancements.
List View
The List view of Records (pictured below), comes with the same speed and search enhancements that came with the Resources upgrade. Users no longer have to load additional pages, but can quickly search through all of their records, with the results instantly filtering out on the page below. 
Additional features include:
- Updated display
- Easier sorting options via the sort icon on the top right
- Sort your Records by clicking on column header(s)
- Clear indicators and links for Related items & the Auto-Folder create feature
Cards View
The new Cards view now allows you to display additional information on each card, as well as the Thumbnail and Record name. Similar to other displays, you can now also select Secondary fields to feature.

Calendar View
The upgraded Calendar view (pictured below) provides an alternative way to view your records, based on date fields within your form. The upgraded view also allows you to see more information (in a new design), alongside numerous features and usability enhancements.

The main features of the new Calendar view include:

Record display based on Start & End Dates
- This enables you to see each record as a range, depending on a Start and End date. These dates can be taken from any Date field within the form.

Click on any Date to Add a Record
- If you have a specific Start Date field selected, this Date field on the record will be pre-populated with the date you clicked on.
- If you have a specific Start Date field selected, this Date field on the record will be pre-populated with the date you clicked on.

View more information by hovering over the Info icon on the record
- The popup you will see (pictured below) displays your secondary fields and featured column information:

Switch between Calendar displays
- Choose which date range you wish to view your calendar display in. The options currently include Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly views.

Time Support within Date Fields
- If you need your Record to be linked to a specific time of day, you can now enable time selection within a Date field. Doing so will also display the record within an hourly time view on the Calendar Daily and Weekly views.
Filtering Options
Filter by any field within the Form, using the Filter Side Panel. This is activated by clicking the filter icon in the search bar (as in Resources).
- Results are dynamically filtered out on the right side of the page. You can see a demonstration of this below:

Records Search
Alongside the Filtering options, you can also quickly search using keywords to locate a specific record based on its content or title. This is done using the search bar at the top of the page and will instantly display your results. Global searches, ie for the whole module, can also be done from your Databases home page and will be displayed instantly.
