Exporting a Custom Job to JPEG or PNG - Things to Note

Modified on Wed, 8 Oct at 5:49 PM

  • PNG/JPEG are exported as 72 dpi resolution.

  • As long as the templates are setup in pixels in InDesign, then the exact pixel dimensions from the Template title will be reflected in the output.

  • In the Template name (numbers in bracket), you will not know what the unit used in the source InDesign template was, so the units may differ from the output dimensions if another unit than pixels was used. This being said, the output will still correspond to the dimensions of the original InDesign template converted to pixels.

  • To verify the original template unit used, you will need to download it from the PrintUI plug-in, open it in InDesign, and then check the Document Setup menu action to see the unit that was used. If you change the unit to pixels, you will see the expected output in pixels when exporting a Custom Job to JPEG or PNG for this template.
